[/] Maximum Applied Water Allowance: 1^426,087 gallons [/] Estimated Applied Water Use: 1,277,675 gallons [/] Estimated Amount of Water Expected from Effective Precipitation: 0 gallons or cubic feet per year [/] Estimated Totai Water Use: 1.277.675 gallons This project's irrigation system has been designed using the following water conserving measures: 1) A properly designed irrigation system. 2) Carefully considered use of turf and shrubs. 3) Carefully considered use and placement of compatible shrub types. 4) Plant materials with minimal water requirements (where applicabie). 5) Piant materials that require minimal landscape maintenance. 6) Application of mulch to shrub beds to decrease soil desiccation and weed growth. 7) True matched precipitation rate nozzles. 8) Pop-up spray bodies of the proper height with pressure reduction and anti-drain functions built in. 9) A controller with multiple programs and start times for fiexible operation. 10) Control valves with pressure reduction and the ability to be used in dirty water appiications. 11) The system is designed with 45% coverage to alleviate wind drift and ioss of performance. IRRIGATION NARRATIVE The irrigation system for this project wiii be a combination of pop-up sprays and bubblers. All systems wili be segregated with respect to the specific hydrozones ofthe plant material and to variations in the sprinkier heads such as rotors versus sprays or sprays versus bubblers. All sprinkler heads will have an anti-drain capabiiity to prevent iow head drainage and subsequent erosion. Ali sprinkier nozzles will have matched precipitation rates for their respective type. Sprinkler head pop-up heights wiil be sufficient to clear the adjacent plant material. The system will be controlled using equipment that has proven reliable and with a levei of sophistication that allows flexibility and ease of maintenance. All remote control valves, gate valves, quick couplers and other types of valves shall be instaiied in valve boxes and wherever possible in shrub/groundcover areas. All remote controi valves at slope areas shall be instaiied at the toe of the slope. All mainline piping and wiring will be instaiied a minimum of 18" beiow grade and 18" below subgrade where they cross paved surfaces. All mainline piping and wiring shall be installed in sleeving where they cross paved surfaces. All lateral line piping wiil be 12" below grade and 12" beiow sub grade where they cross paved surfaces. Aii irrigation lines on slope areas shall be instaiied on grade with uv resistant piping. Irrigation lines at the top and toe of slope areas shall be buried at the aforementioned depths.
