EA 15-04-CALAVERA HILLS COMMUNITY PARK
Thank you for submitting an Early Assessment to construct additional park facilities at Calavera Hills
Community Park located between Tamarack Avenue, Carlsbad Village Drive and Glasgow Drive.
The proposed improvements include:
• A looped walkway with exercise stations,
• covered picnic area with seating,
• monument sign,
• decorative lighting,
• passive turf area,
• BBQ area,
• community garden,
• six lighted pickleball courts with spectator seating, and
• perimeter landscaping.
The proposed improvements are all consistent with the park uses previously approved in the Calavera
Hills Community Park Master Plan. No additional discretionary review is required.
Furthermore, the proposed uses are within the scope of the prior environmental document and no further
environmental documentation is required per CEQA Guideline Sections 15162.
Please submit the final site plan to the Planning Division to document the proposed facilities and uses.
