PROJECT NAME: Summit at Carlsbad
APPLICANT NAME: Marron Road Ventures, LLC
Please describe fully the proposed project. Include any details necessary to adequately
explain the scope and/or operation of the proposed project. You may also include any
background information and supporting statements regarding the reasons for, or
appropriateness of, the application. Use an addendum sheet if necessary.
Description/Explanation.
The Summit at Carlsbad project is proposing 143 one, two and three bedroom apartment units on
a 20.65-acre site. The site is located north of Marron Road, east of El Camino Real and south of
Haymar Drive. The project includes Site Development Plan and related Hillside Development.
A Zone Change is being requested to change the existing zoning from Limited Control (L-C) to
Residential Density-Multiple (RDM). Also included in this application is a request for a density
bonus above the allowed density per the Growth Management Ordinance. (See attached
addendum for further information and explanation.)
