HomeMy WebLinkAboutHDP 02-03; Sacada II; Hillside Development Permit (HDP) (10)City of Carlsbad ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENT SERVICES MEMORANDUM October 2, 2002 TO: Saima Qureshy, Planning FROM: Jeremy Riddle, Engineerin SUBJECT: SECOND REVIEW OF PROPOSED SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE ON LOT 154 OF MAP 6117, HDP 02-03 The Engineering Department has completed a review of the above subject. We have reviewed the application for completeness and have determined that the application and plans submitted for the project are incomplete and unsuitable for continued review due to the following incomplete items: I Incomplete Items I 1. Provide a preliminary soils investigation that addresses soils related issues with respect to the proposed project. The report should also identify any anticipated remedial earthwork. Additionally, staff has conducted a review of the project for engineering issues of concern. Engineering issues, which must be resolved or adequately addressed prior to staff making a determination on the proposed project, are as follows: I Engineering Issues of Concern I 1. Add a typical cross-section along the westerly property line where the proposed retailing wall was added. The typical cross-section should demonstrate that construction of the retaining wall will be performed onsite and will not affect the adjacent westerly property. If work will be performed on the adjacent property, a letter of permission from the property owner will be required. A redlined check print is enclosed for the applicants use in making the requested revisions. This check print must be returned with the plan revisions to facilitate continued staff review.
