SUBJECT: HDP 02-03 - SACADA II
Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. This letter is in
response to your submitted corrective remedial grading plan. Your submittal claims that
the 40% slope on your property exists due to material being pushed onto your property
and that the existing topography is not the original native state. Please substantiate your
claims with some evidence. A visual survey of the site is not enough evidence to prove
that the site topography was altered and that 40% slope did not exist on the site originally.
The grading plan of La Costa South, dated January 1968 is the main source of information
on the topography of the subject site at the time of its subdivision and shows
manufactured and natural slopes on the subject site. Your corrective grading does not
seem consistent with the contours depicted on the subdivision map.
Please contact me at (760) 602-4619, if you have any questions or wish to set up a
meeting to discuss your project.
Sincerely,
