Dear Commlssioners:

foundations were not required so that the proposed residence would be
comparatable with the hillside form. The other surrounding residences are one
story and have compatible setbacks from the slope edge. Allowing this building
as proposed would be inconsistent with the spirit of the laws passed to protect
the community against such blights to our visible hillsides.
