Rancho Santa Fe Road, Suite B Olivenhain, CA 92024 SUBJECT: HILLSIDE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT - HDP 89-12 Dear Mr. Brown: The City has completed a review of the application for a Hillside Development Permit to accommodate the construction of sewer lines. It is the Planning Director's determination that tfie project is consistent with the City's Hillside Development Ordinance, Chapter 21.45 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code and therefore approves this request based on the following: Findings: 1. Hillside conditions have been properly identified on the constraints map which shows existing and proposed conditions and slopes percentages. 2. The project is designed to minimize and coordinate grading for the ultimate use of the site as a public high school. 3. The grading design minimizes the disturbance of hillside lands consistent with the ultimate use of the site. 4. The project design substantially conforms to the intent of the concepts illustrated in the Hillside Development Guidelines Manual as follows: a) The grading concept provides an aesthetic transition into the natural hillside. b) All manmade slopes will be revegitated consistent with view enhancement. Conditions: : 1.
