LA COSTA HIGH SCHOOL SITE
STOCKPILE OF EXCESS SOIL & SEWERLINE CAPACITY
Dear Bill:
The stockpile of excess soil on the future schoolsite can be utlitized in
the grading and preparation of the overall school site. I do not anticipate
any soil will have to be removed and hauled off the site. The existing
stockpile will be negligible in the overall site grading.
The enclosed letter indicates that the theoretical sewer capacity of
1,950-student enrollment could be accommodated. This should allow at
least the first phase to utilize this line.
Very truly yours,

Dear Mr. Brown:
Re: Son Stockpile
Based on the attached letter from the district architect, the .district has no
objection to the stockpiling of soil on the future school site. I understand
the stockpiling to be as a result of Installation of a sewer line along a pre-
viously agreed to course and that all necessary permits will be acquired in
connection with the project.
Sincerely,

ISSUES OF CONCERN
PLANNING:
Assurance that the proposed sewer line will not impact design of the
proposed La Costa High School should be provided This assurance should
be in the form of a site plan of the school and sewer line with topography
and a letter from the school district. The City of Carlsbad is concerned
that the slopes between school facilities and adjacent single family homes
are heavily vegetated with appropriate trees to provide a visual and
physical buffer.
