SUITE 103 CARDIFF BY THE SEA, CA. 92007 APPLICATION FOR ENGINEERING STANDARDS VARIANCE - MAP MS NO. 96-01 We have completed our review of the Engineering Standards Variance application and have discussed the request with Dave Hauser, Assistant City Engineer, and Bob Wojcik, The Principal Engineer of Land Use Review Division. The decision of the Engineering Department is separated into three parts. The first part of the request is for a reduction in 5' of right of way along the west side of Cove Drive. The second part is for the deletion of sidewalk along the west side of Cove Drive. And, the third part is for the deferral of improvement requirements to Cove Drive along the boundary of Minor Subdivision 96-01. We hereby find the following : REDUCTION IN RIGHT OF WAY: The Engineering Department cannot support the reduction in right of way. DELETION OF SIDEWALK: The Engineering Department cansupport the deletion of sidewalk along the frontage of Cove Drive. DEFERRAL OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS: The Engineering Department cannot support the deferral of public improvements.
