CA 92009-4589 Re: Cultural Resources - 4529 Adams Street Dear Ms Hysong: I was contacted by Tom Jones to provide the City of Carlsbad with a review of previous work and to provide the City with this information. Gallegos & Associates completed the cultural resource repost for Steve Cade (HDP 96-10) and recorded and tested prehistoric site CA-SDI- 14335. This site is located southwest of the intersection of Adams Street and the driveway for 4529 Adams Street, adjacent and south of the Tom Jones property. On the basis of the test program, this site was identified as not important under CEQA criteria (Schroth and Gallegos 1996). Site CA-SDI-14335 does not appear to extend into the Torn Jones Property (4529 Adams Street), therefore, additional subsurface testing is not recommended. As the structure on the Tom Jones prwy was not part of the previous evaluation, Gallegos & Associates did not provide an evaluation of the structure. This structure dates to the 1940s and an evaluation and mitigation can probably be achieved through photo documentation and a short history of the structure prior to demolition.
