Re: Thursday, June 12,2003 Agenda Item #8d
City of Carlsbad Habitat Management Plan/Local Coastal P rograrn Amendment
Request for Coastal Commission to Incorporate Hard Line into HMP/LCPA as a Suggested
Modification
Dear Mr. Douglas!
As you know, we represent Diane & Larry Krasnow and thelr family and Cheryl & Bob
Kevane and thelr family with regard to the above referenced matter.
Our clients have been attempting to work in good faith with your Staff for many months
now in negotiating a hard line for their property. However, based upon your Staffs last minute
reclassification of the habltat onsite, your Staff decided not to accept our cllents' revised hard
line, However, we are going to be requesting that the Callfornia Coastal Commisslon
incorporate the attached revised hard line as a suggested modlf'lcation Into the City's
HMP/LCPA. As you can see, this hard line produces a 500-foot - 890 foot wide wildllfe corridor
and includes the 50-foot buffer from the oak trees that was requested by Sherilyn Sarb,
