TO INTERESTED PARTIES:
Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering map and text amendment to the
Agua Hedionda segment of its Local Coastal Program (LCP) as summarized below. The proposed
amendment was submitted by a project applicant and is presently under review. This notice hereby
opens a six-week review period after which the Planning Commission and City Council will consider
all comments and act on the proposed amendments. The Planning Commission LCP Amendment
hearing is expected to take place on November 7, 1990 and will be duly noticed.

PROPOSED LO AMENDMENT SUMMARY
The Agua Hedionda segment of Carlsbad's LCP is being proposed for major amendment. The
amendment would revise the land use designation for the property on the north shore of Agua
Hedionda. More specifically is proposed:
a) Change land use designation at Whitey's Landing from RC (recreational commercial)
to RM (residentiaVmedium density)
b) Remove the requirement for boat launching facilities at Whitey's Landing. (Policy
G.l of the Agua Hedionda Land Use Plan)
