SUBJECT: SPECIFIC PLAN REVISIONS FOR THE FLOWER FIELD TRAIL
REALIGNMENT - SP 207(B)/LCPA 901)8(A)
Dear Grace:
A review of the proposed revisions to the Carlsbad Ranch Specific Plan to accommodate the
realignment of the flower field trail has been completed. The following is a list of minor
revisions which should be made to the pages you submitted:
1. Title Sheet. Change the application number for this proposal to SP 207(B) from SP
207(A) which is the LEGOLAND Amendment.
2. Page 39, Policy 4-B. This policy should be revised not deleted. The policy should be
revised to clarify that the trail will serve a dual function as an agricultural road and will
allow for farm equipment to utilize it.
3. Page 52, Figure 16 (Circulation Plan).

4. Page 112, Figure 47 (Paseo Center Design Guidelines). Leave the existing text referring
to creating a focus at the juncture of the pedestrian walkway and Paseo Center with
gardens or a plaza with benches for foot traffic. The landscaping lining the flower field
trail and encroaching into the agricultural area should be deleted as you have proposed.
