PUBLIC NOTICE
TO INTERESTED PARTIES:
Please be advised that the City of Carlsbad is considering an amendment to its Local Coastal
Program (LCP) as summarized below.
The proposed amendment was submitted by a project applicant and is presently under review. This
notice hereby opens a six-week review period after which the City Council will consider all comments
and act on the proposed amendment. The Planning Commission hearing is expected to take place
in mid-August 1995 and will be duly noticed. The City Council hearing is expected to take place late
September-October 1995 and will be duly noticed.
PROPOSED LCP AMENDMENT SUMMARY
LCPA 95-03 - AVIARA LCP RETROACTIVE AMENDMENT
The City's Zoning Ordinance is the implementing ordinance for the City's Local Coastal Program.
Within the Aviara Master Plan, the implementing ordinance, as required and allowed by the Zoning
Ordinance, is the Aviara Master Plan. Three recent minor master plan amendments received final City of Carlsbad approval. This LCP Amendment retroactively acknowledges and consolidates the three minor master plan amendments as amendments to the implementing ordinance of the
governing LCP. The proposed LCP Amendment is necessary to ensure consistency between the
City's Zoning Ordinance, General Plan and Local Coastal Program. The minor master plan
amendments covered by this LCP amendment are listed below:
* MP 177(J); approved March 7,1995 - affects PA 28
MP 177(M); approved February 7, 1995 - affects PA 15
* MP 177(N); approved May 17,1995 - affects PA's 7/13
