SUBJECT: RANCHO CARRILLO MASTER PLAN
Dear Gentlemen:
The city of Carlsbad has been reviewing numerous versions of the
revised Rancho Carrillo Master Plan for approximately fourteen
months. During this time, we have circulated for staff review
and comment at least four separate versions of the Carrillo
plan. • ' .
It has become apparent that the various property owners of the
Carrillo Ranch cannot reach agreement on a primary agent to work
with city staff and, at one point last month, three firms were
representing themselves as the principal agent for the project.
As a result of this situation, the Carlsbad Planning Department
has suspended review of the Carrillo Master Plan document pending
either one of the following occurrences:
1) All property owners must designate, in writing, a person
or firm as primary project agent, or
2) The city must receive a complete formal application for
a Master Plan submittal.
