Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning Department
has reviewed your Sign Permit, application No. PS 05-0140, as to its completeness for
approval.
Staff Concerns:
The plans for your sign needs to specify:
• Exactly what direction the sign will be facing, (i.e north, south, east, or west)
• The exact location of the sign posts from a fixed point such as the curb face, edge
of pavement, PCR (point of curb return), or back of sidewalk. The location shall
include a dimension shown on the plan and not in a tabular form or as a note.
• Any other measurement from fixed locations such as pedestrian sidewalks,
building corners or other fixed improvements would be helpful in locating the
proposed signs.
