4. Distance to the property line(s) for all proposed freestanding sign(s).
5. Provide an elevation for all proposed sign(s) which specifies the following;
A. Dimensions and area for all existing and proposed sign(s).
B. Materials the sign(s) will be constructed of
C. Source of Illumination.
D. Proposed sign copy.
APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT THREE (3) SETS OF SIGN/SITE PLANS, A COMPLETED
APPLICATION FORM, AND THE APPLICATION FEE.
The application must be submitted prior to 4:00 p.m. Average processing time: 2 weeks

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) of the Carlsbad Research Center (CRC) has
reviewed the sign plans proposed for the Apt Design Studio facility, located at 5937 Darwin
Court on Lot 56 of the CRC. The plans submitted are fully consistent with the Design
Guidelines of the CRC and therefore your plans are considered APPROVED.
Once you have received the requisite sign pennit from the City of Carlsbad, you are authorized
to install the sign as proposed. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or require

1. Applicant Is requesting a suite identification sign similar to those on Lx>t 65 (Jett Property). The 1999 agreement reached with the city and
Lanlkai Management pemnlts a 6.0 ft^ sign with lettering no larger than 6 inches in height The CRC in the interest of consistency accepted this
sign design.
2. The 1999 agreement allows signage over the door of the suite. In this case, the applicant's entrance is around a comer and out of sitght from
the parking lot. Applicant has requested that the be located on an exterior comer of the suite facing the parking lot

• Location of the sign is outlined in Exhibit C of your lease (copy attaclied).
• The design is black lelteririg, wall mounted. Letter is 10" high and logo
is 12" high (per code).
