Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed for potential issues by the Traffic Engineering Department, which will not allow signs to be approved over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection. It is Hughes Investments policy to require spacers for all signs mounted on plaster wall surfaces to prevent dirt streaking and staining of the wall. With the space behind, water from rain or the wash down of the deck above will run down the face of the wall without first washing dirt off of the sign and carrying that with it on to the wall. Please revise your plan as required and resubmit for approval.
