Abbott Corporate Identity will not approve the halo lit letterset because it goes against their brand standards. Because this is their primary identification, they are very concerned about the visibility -both during the -day and at night. The small letters on that large wall will hamper visibility, but they have agreed to it so the Carlsbad facility can have some identification. I mentioned the white letters to them, and they are very opposed to that. There must be enough contrast for the public to be able to read the sign. I am attaching a couple of pictures showing you where they installed a sign years ago that ended up blending into the fascia. They are now in the process of changing these lettersets to black to improve their appearance on the wall. I have attached a new page showing the 36" black letterset right justified on the wall, as you requested yesterday. I have also attached the install drawing for the letterset, which shows the sign specs. Will you please approve this sign and placement so that we may move forward with permitting?
