Date: P-11 Page 4 of 4 Rev. 10/13 Carlsbad Research Center January 13, 2015 Mr. Robert Albert Evergreen Research and Marketing LLC 2261 Rutherford Road Carlsbad, California 92008 Re: Lot 24-3 -Evergreen Wall Sign Modification -ARC Approval Dear Mr. Albert: Architectural Review Committee AN I 5 2015 The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) of the Carlsbad Research Center (CRC) has been made aware of the proposed modification to your existing wall sign located at 2261 Rutherford Road. The proposed modification consists of the removal of the 'leaf logo. This modification will bring the lettering/logo vertical height to approximately J 8 inches, which is in conformance with the CRC Design Guidelines (max imum letter/logo height is 24" for a building under 35,000 SF). The CRC Design Guidelines require all letters of wall signs to be mounted on an aluminum raceway that is painted the same color as the wall it is being mounted on, and not directly to the building. It is understood that you will not be removing the entire sign, only the letter of the sign that will be modified. For this reason, the ARC has agreed to approve your sign without having the letters mounted to an aluminum raceway, but would like to note that the next time the sign is modified, removed or replaced, it wiJI have to be remounted correctly per the Design Guidelines.
