for potential sight distance and visibility issues. Additional information must supplement
this application showing how the proposed slgnage will not encroach into the public right-

SITE PLAN REQUIREMENT FOR POLE, MONUMENT, AND FREESTANDING SIGN
APPLICATIONS
The following example illustrates the information that is required for all pole, , monument, and
freestanding sign permit appllcatlons. Prior to approval, all such proposed signs must be reviewed
for potential Issues by the Transportation Department, which wlll not allow signs to be approveg
over the counter. Additional time will be required for on-site inspection.

location, 5901 Priestly Dr., Ste. 160, Carlsbad, CA, 92008, I approve of the new signage
as per the drawings submitted by ES&A Sign & Awning Company via 07-08-2015 email
attachment(s), as well as any minor signage changes, e.g. directional signs, ATM signs,
parking signs, door and window vinyls, etc. This approval is subordinate to any and all
City and Carlsbad Research Center Association approvals requirements, etc.

reviewed your wall sign application submitted on behalf of your tenant, Banner Bank, for your
building located at 590 I Priestly Dr.
The proposed plans show that the new Banner Bank sign will replace the American West Bank
sign in th e same exact location. The new sign w ill use the existing power. The single wall sign
