Subject: Temporary Banner At 6971 El Camino Real,
Dear Mr. Holzmiller:
i. .,
We are in receipt of your notice and request your consideration for an extension of our permit.
The reason for the delay is that the sign criteria for the Plaza Paseo Real Center is currently under revision. It is my understanding that the revision covers signs for registered trade marks of businesses operating at the national level, and allows some increases in sign lettering heiqht. PIP Printing falls into that category and it is our deslre to install a sign that falls into the new guidelines.
I have talked to Van Lynch in your office and he has advised me that the new criterla is not yet approved. He also added that it could possibly change during the approval cycle. Consequently, I am not able to give my sign maker the go ahead.
Please understand that we are most interested in getting our sign installed and the banner removed. It is our belief that we are losing business because the preponderance of traffic passing our location does so when it is dark, and the banner has no lights-
Due to these extenuating circumstances, I +a extension to our permit to allow time fosval 3 the new aerla ana-fabrication/instanation or our slgn per the "
Very truly yours,
R
