ISSUES OF CONCERN
NO. PS 91-84 - PALOMAR AIRPORT PLAZA
PLANNING:
1. Item A.l. of the Sign Program needs to have an exhibit showing the potential locations of signage for the site. The best way to show this is to show elevations
of the building with areas approved for locations of signs.
2. Item B.l. references a letter style. Show the letter style on the same exhibit as the
building elevations.
3. Item B.4. emphasizes the fact that an exhibit showing the potential locations for
signage needs to exist. The proposed signage at this time is 79 sq. ft. If the maximum allowable signage for the site is 100 sq. ft., then there is an extra 21 sq.
ft. of potential tenant signage. This item also states that "Logos and logo bugs can
also be used if they conform to the other criteria." Please specify what this "other
criteria" is stating. Also state in the program that logos will count as signage and
will count toward the allowable square footage for the site.
4. Item B.8. references the monument signage. The monument signage should be
shown as on the exhibits of the building plans. Simply copy the diagram of the
existing monument sign onto the exhibit for the sign program. This will be the
approved monumentation for the site.
