RE: PS 93-51 CARLSBAD DISTRIBUTION SIGN PROGRAM
Dear Mr. Radford:
This letter is in response to the application of a Sign Program for Carlsbad Distribution
Center at 6030 Avenida Encinas. The application as submitted looks good but there are
a couple of revisions that should be made to make the sign program comply with the
conditions of approval for the project and to make the program more flexible.
Condition number 32 of Site Development Plan 91-12 states "The sign program shall
include the removal of the existing non-conforming sign on the east side elevation of the
existing Building "B" prior to approval of the first occupancy permit." The program
submitted does not address this condition.
On the north elevation of Building "B", the program does not address signage on the
largest elevation. Signage should not be allowed in this area.
The one color suggested is fine, but this may limit other potential users signs in the event
they have different color requirements. It may be better to just limit the colors not
allowed, such as neon and day-glo colors.
If YOU have any questions regarding the above, please call me at 438-1 161 extension
4325.
Sincerely,
VAN LYNCH
