Date of Notice: November 5, 2001 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad intends to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 01-13) and Coastal Development Permit (CDP 01-04) for the installation of tables and chairs for a Sidewalk Cafe at Knock Out Pizzeria, 2959 Carlsbad Blvd., which is located on west side of Carlsbad Blvd. between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue. The assessor parcel numbers are 203-232-03 and 203-232-04. The Housing and Redevelopment Director has determined that the proposed project does meet all applicable development standards for sidewalk cafes and is consistent with the Village Master Plan and Design Manual. Therefore, the Director intends to approve the subject permit. The applicant for the redevelopment permit is James Markham (restaurant owner). The permit will allow for the installation of 8 tables and 24 chairs within a fenced in area on private property. No portion of the outdoor dining area will extend onto the public sidewalk. Four tables will be located along the front of the building and four tables will be located along the side of the building. A six (6) foot walkway will be maintained between the proposed outdoor dining area and the existing adjacent outdoor dining area of the Greek Corner Cafe. Those persons wishing to comment on the proposed project and intended action by the Housing and Redevelopment Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or contact the Housing and Redevelopment Department by 5:00pm on November 15, 2001. If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director on this matter to the Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Redevelopment Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on November 26, 2001. Appeal forms are available at the Housing and Redevelopment Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B.
