NOTICE OF FINAL ACTION
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIALADDITION
3243 ROOSEVELT STREET, CARLSBAD, CA.
Date of Notice: October 14, 2003
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad
has made a final decision to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP03-14) for
property located at 3243 Roosevelt Street. The property is located on the west side of Roosevelt
Street between Walnut Avenue and Pine Avenue. The assessor parcel number is 204-081-14. The
proposed project is not located within the Coastal Zone.
The applicant, Darin Diaz, is requesting an Administrative Redevelopment Permit to demolish an
existing detached single car garage and construct a new single car garage attached to the existing
single-family residence. An Administrative Redevelopment Permit is required for an addition to an
existing building footprint which as a building permit valuation less than or equal to $60,000.
If you wish to appeal the decision of the Housing and Redevelopment Director on this matter to the
Design Review Board, you must file a written appeal with the Housing and Redevelopment
Department within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this decision/notice. The written appeal
must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on October 24, 2003. Appeal forms are available at the
Housing and Redevelopment Department located at 2965 Roosevelt Street, Suite B. If you have

NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Department has
determined that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) per Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines as a minor alteration of an existing
structure which will not have an adverse significant impact on the environment. Appropriate
documentation will be filed by the City of Carisbad's Housing and Redevelopment Department.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad
intends to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP03-14) for property located at
