RE: KNOCKOUT PIZZERIA - 2937 CARLSBAD BOULEVARD
Dear James:
On April 20, 2004, your request to convert from a fast food use to a restaurant use was approved
by my office. Your previously approved Administrative Redevelopment Permit No. RP 03-19
and Coastal Development Permit No. CDP 03-51 for property located at 2937 Carlsbad
Boulevard have been amended to reflect the restaurant classification and to confirm the total
square footage of the space to be used for this land use.
Attached is a copy of the approved permit authorizing the change in use from fast food to
restaurant. Please note that this new use requires that you have a total of 12 parking spaces
(rather than 6 spaces) available for use by your customers and/or employees at all times of
operation. All other conditions of approval remain the same as those set forth in your original
pemiit approval. Please note again that violation of the conditions of the pemiit could result in
revocation of this permit.
Having completed the land use review process, you may now proceed with the building permit

KNOCKOUT PIZZERIA (RP 03-19/CDP 03-51)
Dear Bill:
On April 20, 2004, our office approved an applicant request to approve an amendment to a
previously approved administrative redevelopment and coastal development permit to change a
land use classification from fast food use to a restaurant use for Knockout Pizzeria. The
previously approved (2/4/04) Administrative Redevelopment Pemiit No. RP 03-19 and Coastal
Development Permit No. CDP 03-51 for property located at 2937 Carlsbad Boulevard has
subequently been amended to reflect the restaurant classification and to confirm the total square
footage of the space to be used for this land use.
Attached please find a Notice of Final action for the above referenced approval. A copy of the
plans and the Administrative Redevelopment and Coastal Development Permit, as amended, are
also enclosed for your information.

I am writing this letter in reference to our earlier discussions regarding my desire to
change the classification of my pizzeria from fast food use to restaurant use. I am
requesting this change with the understanding that at some point in the future I may
revert back to a fast food classification per the requirements of my lease with The Gamer
Family Trust I understand that I will have to meet all city requirements for all changes
and pay any appHcable fees. If my understanding of this is correct, piease let me know
and let this letter serve as my formal request for the aforementioned change.

Dear James:
On February 4. 2004 the Housing and Redevelopment Director approved
Administrative Redevelopment Permit No. RP 03-19 and Coastal Development Permit
No. CDP 03-51 for property located at 2937 Cartsbad Blvd. The decision of the
Housing and Redevelopment Director is subject to a ten (10) day appeal period. The
appeal period has elapsed and no appeals were filed.
Attached is a copy of the approved permit authonzing the change in use from retail to
fast food restaurant. Please review all conditions carefully. Violation of the conditions
could result in revocation of this permit.
Having completed the land use review process, you may now proceed with the building
permit process. Please check with the Building Department for any questions related to
your tenant improvements.
