10. FINDINGS AND CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL (IF APPLICABLE) Page 1 of 2
The following findings have been made in order to approve the Administrative Redevelopment Permit
for the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM):
1. The proposed location of the ATM will not adversely affect pedestrian traffic movements and will
not result in negative impacts to adjacent uses. Adequate use and queuing space exists on the
adjacent sidewalk to accommodate users without negatively impacting pedestrian traffic or
surrounding uses.
2. The ATM is not expected to create additional parking and traffic problems in the area. The ATM is
located near short term public parking spaces.
3. The proposed appearance of the ATM and its related lighting and signage is appropriate to Its
location and the Village.

4. Adequate lighting and visic|i^ provisions have been made for uSPsafety. Two safety lights will
be installed above the ATM providing adequate night-time lighting and an additional light will be
installed on the westerly wall above the door that faces the public parking lot.
5. The project is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
per Section 15303, Class 3 (conversion of small structures) of the State CEQA Guidelines and will
not have an adverse significant impact on the environment
The following conditions have been approved for the subject project:
1. This approved permit serves as the required redevelopment permit for the subject project
approving the additional use of Automatic Teller Machine with the existing storage/electrical
room.
2. The project shall be completed according to, and be consistent with, the plans approved by the
Housing and Redevelopment Director on the date noted above. The approved plans have been
stamped by the Housing and Redevelopment Director and indicate the approval date of (Jjj^jci^ .
3. No construction shall take place until required building permits are issued. Compliance with
Uniform Building Code standards shall be reviewed by the Building Department during plan
check.
4. The applicant shall pay all current fees and deposits as required through the building permit
process.
5. Light fixture for ATM shall include a vandal resistant cover and provide a maintained minimum of
one (1) foot-candle of light at the ground level during the hours of darkness.
6. A mirror or similar device shali be installed on the ATM to allow someone using the machine to
see background areas.
7. The applicant shall install surveillance equipment to monitor the ATM area.
8. No back lit awnings shall be permitted.
9. Wall sign proposed on the westerly wall facing the alley, shall not exceed a depth of six inches.
10. One temporary banner sign will be allowed perthe Carlsbad Sign Ordinance (CMC 21.41.100).
The temporary banner may be installed once a sign permit has been approved and waiting for
permanent sign construction and installation. Approval limited to 45 days maximum or when the
permanent sign Is installed whichever occurs first
