Our records show that your business was previously approved to have one sidewalk sign/freestanding sign of 15 square feet, which is shaped like a house per Redevelopment Permit 04-22. Prior to the installation or change of any signage, an approved sign permit is required. Please contact our office for sign permit information and prior to installing new signage to your building. Until then, please remove the sign and two pennant flags. As a courtesy to you, I am sending you this letter before this becomes a code enforcement issue. Having received all required documents your application has been approved. Attached is a copy of the approved Sidewalk Sign Permit for your records. The attached permit allows you to retain your sign for; 1) as long as the Housing and Redevelopment Commission allows sidewalk signs to remain, 2) as long as the sign continues to meet the standards outlined within the Carlsbad Village Master Plan and Design Manual, and 3) as long as the sign is consistent with this permit approval. It is important to note that the Housing and Redevelopment Commission will complete an annual review of the sidewalk sign regulations to determine their continued applicability. In addition, I wanted to inform you that no signage shall be included or permitted in the mural.
