citv of Carlsbad Housing & Redevelopment Department CITY OF CARLSBAD NOTICE OF INTENDED ACTION INSTALLATION OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS FACILITY AT 325 CARLSBAD VILLAGE DR., CARLSBAD, CA. Date of Notice: November 9, 2005 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director of the City of Carlsbad intends to APPROVE an Administrative Redevelopment Permit (RP 05-08) and Coastal Development Permit (CDP 05-36) for the installation of a wireless coniniunications facility on the building located at 325 Carlsbad Village Drive. The property is located on the south side of Carlsbad Village Drive between Carlsbad Boulevard and Washington Street. The assessor parcel number is 203-175-01. The proposed project is located within the Coastal Zone, but is not within the "appealable" area of the Coastal Zone. The applicant for the administrative redevelopment/coastal development permit is Cingular Wireless. The application for the subject permit was submitted on August 4, 2005. The application numbers assigned to the permit are RP 05-08 and CDP 05-36. The proposed project will consist of the installation of three antenna sectors of four antennas each (total of 12 antennas). Each antenna sector will be within a dormer that has been architecturally integrated into the building design. The materials and roof pitch being used will be detailed, textured and painted to match the existing building. The coax cables will be enclosed within the buildings attic space and, thus, be screened from public view. The equipment room will be located within the rear portion of an existing building. Those persons wishing to comment on the proposed project and intended action by the Housing and Redevelopment Director are cordially invited to submit written comments or contact the Housing and Redevelopment Department by 5:00pm on November 21, 2005. NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the Housing and Redevelopment Director has determined that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15303 of the State CEQA Guidelines and will not have an adverse significant impact on the environment.
