RE: CHANGE IN NAME FOR TONY'S OF CARLSBAD RESTAURANT
LOCATION: BIG BEAR CENTER, 1-5 AND ELM AVENUE
IN THE POINSETTIA PLAZA, CARLSBAD, CA.
As per our phone conversation this morning regarding changing
the name of "Tony's of Carlsbad" restaurant:
A name change requires that the applicant apply for a sign permit
if signs are to be changed. Also, the City of Carlsbad Business
License Division should be notified of change in name of business
and owner if applicable.
Any structural improvements, changes, whether they be minor or
major will require a redevelopment permit. The original redevelopment
permit for "Tony's of Carlsbad" is for renovation of existing
restaurant. Change in name of business does not require approval
by the Design Review Board, however, if any structural changes
are to take place. Design Review Board approval is required. Also,
any change in use will require a redevelopment permit and approval
by the Design Review Board and Housing and Redevelopment Commission/
City Council.
If you any further questions, please call.
