SUBJECT: RP 85-15- CAROL'S FRESH CUT FLOWERS - Request for a minor
redevelopment permit to install a portable flower stand
on property located adjacent to Alt Karlsbad on Carlsbad
Boulevard.
I. RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Design Review Board ADOPT Resolution
No. 056 APPROVING RP 85-15.
II. DISCUSSION
The applicant is requesting a minor redevelopment permit to construct
a portable flower stand adjacent to Alt Karlsbad on Carlsbad Boulevard.
This use is compatible with the surrounding architecture of Alt
Karlsbad and will add an attractive addition to the area. This
structure requires no building permits but a portion of the stand
is in the City right-of-way and requires the applicant to obtain an
encroachment permit. The applicant is in the process of obtaining
the required permit.
Staff recommends that the Design Review Board approve this minor
redevelopment permit subject to the applicant obtaining an encroachment
permit.
