DISCUSSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATION This project would entail the construction of a drive through facility on an already existing Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant site. As part of the proposal, the existing restaurant parking lot would be redesigned. For this environmental analysis, staff conducted two field trips to the property. There are no sensitive environmental resources open or vithin close proximity to this already developed site. Because the site; (1) is currently developed, (2) is located in an urban area, and (3) no sensitive resources existing on or in close proximity to it. No significant environmental impacts are anticipated. There were no public comments received during the public review period for this negative declaration. -7- IV. DETERMINATION (To Be Completed By The Planning Department) On the basis of this initial evaluation: X I find the proposed project COULD NOT have a significant effect on the environment, and a NEGATIVE DECLARATION will be prepared. I find that although the proposed project could have a significant effect on the environment, there will not be a significant effect in this case because the mitigation measures described on an attached sheet have been added to the project. A Conditional Negative Declaration will be proposed. .1 find the proposed project MAY have a significant effect on the environment, and an ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT is recjuired.
