SUBJECT: SDU 99-01 - VILLAGE Q-1 SECOND UNIT
Thank you for applying for Land Use Permits in the City of Carlsbad. The Planning
Department has reviewed your Secondary Dwelling Unit, application no. SDU99-01 to its
completeness for processing.
The applications are complete, as submitted. Although the initial processing of your
applications may have already begun, the technical acceptance date is acknowledged by
the date of this communication. The City may, in the course of processing the application,
request that you clarify, amplify, correct, or otherwise, supplement the basic information
required for the application. In addition, you should also be aware that various design
issues may exist. These issues must be addressed before these applications can be
scheduled for a hearing. The Planning Department will begin processing your applications
as of the date of this communication.

ISSUES OF CONCERN
Planning:
1. Please provide a site plan for the second dwelling unit as well as the main dwelling.
The site plan must be drawn to scale and include all setbacks. Also, provide us
with the following: 1) a typewritten list of the names and addresses of all property
owners within a 300 foot radius of the subject property 2) Two (2) separate sets of
mailing labels of the property owners within a 300 foot radius of the subject
property.
Engineering:
None. However, the applicant should be made aware that appropriate fees will be
assessed with the issuance of building permits.
