Enclosed please find our Applications along with 26 copies of the plan in question.
We are hereby specifically asking for the approvals as related to the McDonald's
Restaurant and Drive Up located immediately north of the main drive to the shopp-
ing center located at the Southeast Corner of Freeway 78 and El Camino Real,
which is the subject of the Specific Plan Approval #SP 146 - (A). The balance
of this plan has been approved as shown on the overall shopping center plans
attached.
We would appreciate consideration of this plan at the earliest possible hearing
date. The plans for the McDonald's have, as you know, been prepared for some
time now, but have not been reviewed because of the oversight that a Conditional
Use Permit is required for the McDonald's.

The City of Carlsbad Planning Department would appreciate the
opportunity to work 'with the applicant throughout the Planning
Stages of the proposed development. In an effort to aid the
applicant, the Planning Department requests that it be given
an opportunity to evaluate and discuss the application and
plans prior to submittal. This request is not a requirement;
however, it may avoid major redrafting or revision of .the plan
which only serves to lengthen the processing time.
