HomeMy WebLinkAboutV 321; Kenneth Crisman Panhandle; Variance (V) (9)STAFF REPORT DATE : TO : FROM: SUBJECT : February 25, 1981 Planning Commission Planning Department V-321 and MS-515, CRISMAN - Request for approval of a minor subdivision creatinq a panhandle lot and two variances of the zoning ordinance as follows : A decrease in the minimum width of the panhandle serving the lot from 20 feet to 15 feet; and A reduction in the minimum lot width require- ment from 60 feet to 46 feet on property generally located on the west side of Valley Street in the R-1-7500 zone. DISCUSSION Detailed review of this project has revealed that it does not comply with the requirements of the Carlsbad Subdivision Ordinance. Although a variance can be requested from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, no procedure exists to consider a variance or waiver from the requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance. The applicant has been made aware of these problems and has requested that this item be continued to the Planning Commission meeting of April 8, 1981. This continuance will give the applicant and staff the opportunity to re-evaluate the proposal and attempt to resolve any conflicts with the Carlsbad Subdivision Ordinance. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Planning Commission CONTINUE the hearing on V-321 and MS-515 to its meeting of April 8, 1981. ATTACHMENTS Location Map MH : ar
