Re: Coronavirus Response Update 62
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the City Council with an update on the city’s
response actions related to COVID-19. This memo focuses on actions and information that are
new since the last update.
Emergency Operations Center
• Emergency Operations Center activated to support COVID-19 mitigation and
response operations and information sharing.
• CERT volunteers are reaching out to faith-based organizations to inform them of the
recent updates in the county health order and detail what’s needed for them to reopen.

Human Resources
• No change in status of employees with possible COVID-19 exposure: 44 employees
cleared to return to work.
Police Department
• Officers issued five parking citations in the beach area yesterday along with 72 written
warnings to beachgoers found to be violating the county health order.

houses of worship and one-on-one sport instruction

o Reminder of basic health precautions including avoiding crowds, wearing face
coverings and maintaining distance
o Library’s free eBooks and eAudiobooks

• Prepared and distributed daily email update from the city:
o County’s COVID-19 percentage positive chart

o Encouragement to keep the dial moving in the right direction along the state’s
reopening stages

the Memorial Day weekend
