I am a citizen of the United States and a resident of the county aforesaid;
I am over the age of eighteen years, and not a party to or interested in the above entitled matter.
I am principal clerk of the printer of the Carlsbad Journal a newspaper of general circulation,
published twice weekly in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, and which
newspaper is published for the dissemination of local news and intelligence of a general character, and
which newspaper at all times herein mentioned had and still has a bona fide subscription list of paying
subscribers, and which newspaper has been established, printed and published at regular intervals in
the said City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, fora period exceeding one year next

Absentee ballot deadline Feb. 27
CARLSBAD — Absentee ballots for the March 3 special
election must be received by the Registrar of Voters office
on or before 5 p.m. OB Feb. 27, according to county officials.
A total of 27,608 city residents are eligible to vote in the
March 3 special election, the registrar's office reported.
Appearing on the ballot are Proposition A, a measure
asking voters to approve the purchase of the 53-acre Hosp
Grove eucalyptus forest, and candidates Eric Larson and
Albert Mendoza, who are vyphg for election to a two-year
city council term created by former councilman Bud Lewis'
election Nov. 4 as mayor.
