Gentlemen:
This is to report the results of tests and observations made in order to inspect the compaction of
filled ground placed on certain areas of the subject site. The fills were placed during the period
between June 13 and 22,1973.
The approximate areas and depths of filled gtuund placed under our inspection In accordance with
the approved speciflcatlons are shown on the ottached Drawing No. 1, entitled “Location of Com-
pacted Filled Ground. ” The grading plan used for the placement of filled ground was prepared
by Tri State Engineering Company.
The cppmximate locations at which the tests were token and the final test results are presented on
pages 3 and 4, under the “Table of Test I,.esults.” The labsratbly determinations of the maximum
dry &nsIHoa and optimum moisture conhnh of the majot fill matotials are presented on page 4,
under the “Laboratory Test Results.’ Some of the maximum dry densities shown in the “Table of
Test Rmulh” were combtnations of thus. The tesb were taken on the dotes indicated blowt

The final results of tests and observations inidcate that the compacted filled ground has
been placed at 90 percent of the maximum dry density or greater. Recommendations re-
garding the safe bearing value of the fill materials, compacted to 90 percent of maximum
dry density, and the placement
