Nesting Birds.
Dear Paul,
-
'• '
S
As required in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services letter to Sherry Howard of
the Traffic Division of the City of Carlsbad dated March 16, 1998; I conducted a
survey for nesting birds in Reach 2 of the Cannon Road stream crossing of Agua
Hedionda Creek.
The site was visited from 0900 to 1300 and thoroughly, covered on foot. All
trees shrubs, brush piles and any other suitable nesting sites were observed, Bird
,
species that were observed or heard calling were identified and recorded. There
were no nests or nesting behavior observed in the area of native vegetation that is
to be taken. No bird species that are listed as threatened or endangered were '
observed within 'the area where vegetation is to be removed.
As you have requested I will be on-site to supervise the vegetation clearing
activities which are scheduled to be conducted on 24 March 1998.'
.Respectfully,
Fred T. Sproul
