Submitted herewith are the results of laboratory testing performed on an import material sample
being used as fill at the above referenced project site. Note that the particle size distribution is
marginally non-compliant with Caltrans Class II specifications.
It should be noted that test results contained herein are for geotechnical purposes and do not reflect
compliance with United States Environmental Protection Agency and State of California regulations
regarding environmental concerns.

Testing and subsequent approval of any import source applies only to the sampleprovided It
is the contractor's responsibility to import materials that are consistent with the sample tested.
In any case, final approval is contingent upon the actual materials as hauled to the site.
These laboratory tests were performed in accordance with generally accepted standards and do not
constitute engineering opinions or project control. It is the responsibility of the contractor to
schedule retests or re-inspections of any areas that do not meet project specifications as a result olthe
attached information. TE-USL neither controls nor supervises the work at the site. We are not
responsible for errors and omissions of the contractor, nor for the contractor's failure to keep the
work on schedule or carry it out in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and all
applicable codes.
