Dear Mr. JOhannsen:
In accordance with your request, GeoSoils, Inc. (GSI) has performed a geoechnical review

geotechnical site conditions presented and discussed in our report (see Rference No. 2).
Unless specifically superceded in the text of this report, recommendations presented in
Reference No. .2 are considered valid and applicable.
The plans reviewed (see Reference No. 1) appear to bein general conformance with the
recommendations provided by this office and presented in Reference No. 2, with the
following additional comments/recommendations.
• 'The minimum distance from a given structure to the flow line of sidq yard drainage,
per City Standard Drawing GS-15 (see Reference, No. 3), may be reduced from
5 feet to a minimum, of 3 feet, provided that the footings for adja1cent structures
and/or all settlement-sensitive improvements are embedded at leasi 6 inches below
the flow line for the adjacent drainage swale. Trenching for any utilities adjacent to
a footing should remain above a 1:1 projection downward from the outside bottom
edge 'of the footing. All trenches should be compacted to a minirrum 90 percent
relative' compaction.
