Subject: Lower Pad Verification for Grading Plan No. 486-2A, Hirschkoff Residence, Project
No. CDP 14-13, APN: 155-180-28, Jefferson Street, Carlsbad, CA
To Whom It May Concern,
On November 4, 2015, our office performed a field survey at the referenced project to determine
the average elevations of the lower building pad that has been created.
The results of our survey are as follows:
Lower Residence Pad
Approved Grading Plan Pad Elevation = 60.7
Field Measured Average Pad Elevation = 60.5
The concrete slab section to be constructed will be 8" thick concrete over 4" sand for a total of
12" (1.0') structural section. The approved grading plan structural section was 0.8', therefore the
pad has been graded 0.2' lower than the approved grading plan but the finished floor remains at
the same elevation of 61.50'.
Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Vince Sampo, PE, PLS
