In accordance with the requirements of the City of Carlsbad, we have performed laboratory tests on
representative samples of the import Class 2 Aggregate Base (AB) material placed on a portion of
Alverton Drive within Bressi Ranch Planning Area PA-6 located in Carlsbad, California. One
representative sample of the Class 2 AB was sampled and transported to our laboratory. Laboratory
tests performed on the representative sample included sand equivalent (in accordance with
ASTM Test Method D2419) and sieve analysis (in accordance with ASTM Test Method C136).
The results of the laboratory tests are presented on the attached table.
Based on the City of Carlsbad requirements and the Caltrans specifications (Section 26-1.02A) as
indicated on the tables, the representative Class 2 aggregate base sample met the city requirements.
