This letter i provided to report to the iCily of .Carlsbad that the building pad for the above
referenced prolect has been graded in accordance with Grading Plan CT 07 0 sheet 4 and
Architectural Pan sheet S2.1 with a ma gradedpa elevation o 297.75.. Perimeter wall
construction and the parking lot grading are ongoing and will be completed at d'later date
{he nearest water source for fire fighting is a fire hydrant on Town Garden at the intersection of El
amino Real A variance for an all weather road has been granted per Greg Ryan's notes dated
September 1 5, 2008
J;4,'field survey of the pad grades was completed on September 18, 2008 The building pad has
been builfwithin 0 1' of the pad grade shown on the grading plan set and attached exhibits

20-Foot Fire Access
Dear Mr. Ryan:
In order to obtain a pad certification there is a requirement to provide a 20-foot wide all weather
road. We are requesting a variance to exclude the access due to the building's proximity to El
Comma Real, Town Garden Road and adjacent fire hydrants.
Please advise of our request at your earliest convenience, due to our deadline of September 30,
