My project requires preparation and approval of a Tier 2 Construction Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) because my project meets one or more of the following criteria demonstrating that the project potentially poses a moderate threat to storm water quality: My project requires a grading plan pursuant to the Carlsbad Grading Ordinance (Chapter 15.16 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code); and/or, 13 My Project will result in 2,500 square feet or more of soils disturbance including any associated construction staging, stockpiling, pavement removal, equipment storage, refueling and maintenance areas and, my project meets one or more of the following additional criteria: Project is located within 200 feet of an environmentally sensitive area or the Pacific Ocean; Project's disturbed area is located on a slope with a grade at or exceeding 5 horizontal to I vertical; Project's disturbed area is located along or within 30 feet of a storm drain inlet, an open drainage channel or watercourse; and/or . Project will be initiated during the rainy season or will extend into the rainy season (Oct. 1 through April 30). Moderate Threat Assessment Criteria My project does not meet any of the significant threat assessment criteria described above and meets one or more of the following criteria: 01 Project requires a grading plan pursuant to the Carlsbad Grading Ordinance (Chapter 15.16 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code); or, U Project will result in 2,500 square feet or more of soils disturbance including any associated construction staging, stockpiling, pavement removal, equipment storage, refueling and maintenance areas and project meets one or more of the additional following criteria: Tier 2 located within 200 feet of an environmentally sensitive area or the Pacific Ocean; and/or, disturbed area is located on a slope with a grade at or exceeding 5 horizontal to I vertical; andlor disturbed area is located along or within 30 feet of a storm drain inlet, an open drainage channel or watercourse; and/or construction will be initiated during the rainy season or will extend into the rainy season (Oct. 1 through April 30). Low Threat Assessment Criteria U My project does not meet any of the significant or moderate threat criteria, is not an exempt permit type (see city's list of permit types exempt from construction SWPPP requirements) and project meets one or more of the following criteria: Tier 1 results in some soil disturbance; and/or includes outdoor construction activities (such as roofing, saw cutting, equipment washing, material stockpiling, vehicle fueling, waste stockpiling) No Threat Project Assessment Criteria U My project is in a category of permit types exempt from city construction SWPPP requirements (see city's list of permit types exempt from construction SWPPP requirements) and/or does not Exempt meet any of the high, moderate or low threat criteria described above.
