At the request of Mr. Morrison we have performed two (2)
additional field density tests in the subbase material and three
(3 ) additional field density tests in the road bas-e material within
the referenced project, -Carlsbad, California. The field density
tests were done in accordance with A.S.T.M. 0-1556, the Sand COhB
method.
One laboratory compaction test was also performed to determin~
the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content Of the baee
material tested. The other tests used were pre.viously determined.
All of these tests were performed in accordance with A.S.T.M.
0-1557-70 (method A).
The test locations and elevations were designated by Mr. Morrison.
The field density tests were taken at subbase finis~ ~rade and road
base finish grade elevations. A summary follows:
