This is to report the results of tests to determine the moisture contents of the soils in the upper
three feet below finished subgrade in the proposed bui.lding area at the subject site.
The moisture samples were obtained on, January 3, 1974 and the findl test results are presented
below:

This is to present the resu Its of fie Id density tests taken in compacted subgrade and base materials
on certain street area~ of La Costa Meadows Unit No~ 4 in Carlsbad, California.'
The subgr-ade tests were taken in the upper six inches below finished subgrade during the period
between October 1, 1973 and October 5, 1973, and the bqse course tests were taken during the
period between. October 9, 1973 and October 17, 1973.
The approximate locations at which the te~ts were taken and the final test results are presented
on pages 3 to 10, inclusive, under the '!fable of Test Results." The laboratory determinations of
the maximum dry densities and optimum moisture contents are presented on page 11, under "Labor-
atory Test Results." Some of the maximum dry densities shown in the "Table of Test Results" were
combinations of these.
It should 'be noted that the test numbers as shown in this report ore numbered consecutively in
sequence from the test numbers as presented in our previous report, dated September 6, 1973,
which reported the re$ults of field density tests taken in subgrade and base course materials on
certain street areas of the same subject project.
