As mandated by the conditions of approval, it is necessary to,attenuate both I the 6 hour and 24 hour developed 10 year storm discharge to previous nondeveloped levels. - I This study uses the TR 20 hydrograph. method to analyze these storms. Each is modeled after the Type B rainfall distribution listed in the San Diego County Hydrology Manual, I The table on page 3 summarizes the results of analysis for Village "T". Results show that an onsité detention basin will be required at the low point of basin 4. The wetlands mitigation area east of the school site will be used for the second basin. Both basins I will attenuate storm water discharge to nondeveloped levels. I I I• WO:346-39 • WP:346.39c i 3/1/91 I • I H. • ' I , I. I 2 I 1. ... . . onc 112- 6/e. /24 M. FEASEL nnger htiesfMaintenance/ rations I 2/7/9 1 Mr. Greg Gallagher Hunsaker Engineering 10179 Huennekens Street San Diego, CA 92121 S Subject: Zone 7 K-8 school site anticipated hard surface area Dear. Mr. Gallagher, As I mentioned in our telephone conversation, the District IS not currently in a position to deal with specific site design considerations regarding the subject location. However,. It is reasonable to draw some justifiable conclusions from an existing facility which has been recently completed. The Aviàra Oaks K-8 site is approximately 25 acres and âontains, or Is planned to contain, components similar to those expected at the subject location. areas views a ratio ot approximately 40 percent flard surtace 10 60 percent permeable. The hard surface area assumption includes buildings, walkways, parking lots and driveways. This is significantly less than the estimate of 95% hard surface expected for a school facility by the city engineering department. The suggested ratio of 95% hard-surface for a contemporary school facility is not considered remotely representative under any circumstances.
