Subject: Results of Tree Survey at 2200 Afton Way, Carlsbad, CA
Mr. Pruett:
This letter provides the results of the tree survey conducted by Rocks Biological Consulting
(RBC) at 2200 Afton Way in Carlsbad, California. On January 8, 2015 RBC surveyed the site
and measured and recorded the size of all trees over 12" caliper diameter. The location,
species name, and size of each of the 75 trees over 12" was recorded using a hand-held GPS.
The attached figure shows the the location of trees over 12" and Table 1 lists the sizes of trees
for each species.

Other smaller (< 12" caliper diameter) trees and shrubs are present on the site including the
following species:
• Oleander (Nerium oleander)
• Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia)
• Cape Plumbago (Plumbago auriculata)
• Lemonadeberry (Rhus integrifolia)
• Peruvian Pepper Tree (Schinus mo/le)
• Avocado (Persea americana)
• Tree Tobacco (Nicotiana glauca)
As noted in Table 1, all 75 of the trees over 12" caliper diameter will be removed as part of the
project.
